Private Skating Lessons
When should I start Private Lessons? Private lessons can be started at any time. This can be for various reasons. Usually you will get started with private lessons when you decide to try out one of our ice shows or Basic Skills Competitions. You can approach your class instructor or any other staff member about private lessons. Alternatively, You may email or speak to the Palisades Skating School director, Christina Makris: . Private "booster" lessons are available if you are having trouble with an element in your skate school class. Recreational Skating Lessons & Figure Skating Lessons These lessons may be given on any public session or freestyle session. The cost of admission and skate rental (if applicable) is due before getting on the ice and does not include the lesson fee. Hockey Lessons These lessons may be given on any public session or "stick time". Please note that if the lesson is scheduled for "stick time," full pads and helmets are required. The cost of admission and skate rental (if applicable) is due before getting on the ice and does not include the lesson fee. All students must pay Admission prior to going on the ice. Limited private lesson spots are available on Practice Ice between group class times. Public session fees apply if not enrolled in skating school for that day. COSTS: All coaches are independent contractors who schedule their own classes and set their own fees. Most coaches charge between $30 - $45 per 25 minute private lesson. In addition, you must pay the admission fee and for rental skates, if needed. Semi private lessons may also be available (Contact coaches directly for rates.) |
